Rangemaster and Stoves Range Cookers

Filed under: Cooking, Utensils, Appliances - crunchy @ 11:19 am

The Range Cooker Store wrote an interesting article comparing Rangemaster and Stove cookers. Personally I find Rangemaster’s 110 Range Cooker to be unbeatable in terms of its versatility. The Rangemaster 90 Range Cooker is available for those who are on a tighter budget, but it performs equally well.

"The contemporary Stoves cooker is available in black or stainless steel; the Rangemaster Traditional comes in blue, green, cream, black and red. Stoves’ choice of basic monochromes and Rangemaster’s plethora of colour choices ensures that with either of these cookers, there’s little danger of being unable to fit the cooker neatly into your kitchen…Moving on to the ovens, both have a similar setup of two ovens and two grills for maximum cooking flexibility, with the Rangemaster boasting energy rating A on both the electric fan and conventional ovens which will help to keep your energy bills down."

Antique Coffee Grinder Is A magnificent Conversation Piece In The Kitchen

Filed under: Coffee, Food, Gourmet, Appliances, Drinks - crunchy @ 2:32 am

My mom has a collection of many things related to coffee. She has mugs and old cans from long ago brands, but the coolest thing she has in her collection is an antique coffee grinder that she keeps on top of the fridge. She doesn’t use it because it has a hand crank and you have to use quite a bit of force to hand grind the beans. And there are electronic devices out there that can do the same thing that the antique coffee grinder can do, except in a fraction of the time and using only a fraction of the physical energy.
